Welcome to the home of the East York Concert Band!

For more than 70 years, the East York Concert Band has brought the joy of music to audiences across the Greater Toronto Area. Conducted by Carol Anne Lynch, our band is a non-profit, community organization with talented members ranging in age from their early 20s to their late 80s. We perform throughout the year at a wide array of local venues including hospitals, legions, seniors’ homes and churches, in addition to private functions and our annual holiday and spring concerts.

The Band’s Instrumentation

Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium/Baritone Horn, Tuba and Percussion.

Senior high school level experience or the equivalent, on your instrument of choice is recommended. Other than percussionists, members must supply their own instruments. Band members pay nominal dues on an annual basis to support the band’s ongoing operations.

The East York Concert Band is looking for talented amateur musicians to join our ranks. We’re looking for musicians who play bassoon, trumpet, French horn, euphonium/baritone horn, tuba and percussion

Weekly rehearsals are held from September to June on Monday evenings, 8 to 10 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion‘s Brigadier O.M. Martin Legion Hall (Branch 345), located at 81 Peard Rd. in Scarborough.

Apart from the above, we have openings for all instruments from time to time. If you would like to join us, please email [email protected] and a band representative will follow up with you.
